Produced by Blue Trumpet for Radio 2RRR, 'John & Yoko ... a love story' spans the career of the Beatles in six episodes, following the ruminations of two self-confessed ‘Beatles tragics’, Ray Rose and James Benn, as they discuss the musical evolution of John Lennon and his old songwriting buddy Paul McCartney during their all-too-brief career with the Beatles.
Throughout, James and Ray ponder the implications of Yoko’s appearance on the 60s’ pop scene and the lingering question … was it she who broke up the Beatles? Special guest ‘Yoko’ tries to help them answer that all-important question, and generously lends her voice to the opening and closing of each episode.
