A new film about nightlife and its relationship with learning disabled people is making its way to the big screen.
Radically Inclusive Clubbing explores the relationship between accessible clubbing and the learning disabled community.
Set for release in Spring 2027, the film is centred in London, following five club goers to the Bubble Club. Operating for 21 years, Bubble Club is one of the UK capital’s longest-running inclusive club night for people with learning disabilities.
In addition to sit-down interviews, the film blends observational and archival footage as it moves between the dancefloor and the everyday lives of each party goer. As a result, it looks at clubbing as a space where identity, connection and independence is formed.
Radically Inclusive Clubbing is produced by Muddled Marauders, with members of Bubble Club forming part of the ensemble. In addition, the team has launched a Crowdfunder campaign towards the film’s completion.
The film is being developed at a time when nightlife is increasingly under threat across London and the UK. Since 2020, the country has lost over a third of its clubs. In 2026, Corsica Studios – the long-standing South London institution – closed its doors permanently after over 20 years.
