From French electronics to throwback Jungle: What the Mixcloud staff loved in February 2026

In February, the team is in hibernation mode with mixes that make them feel peaceful in Downtempo goodness.

February

In this article you will find mixes for February from some very underrated curators. This year we’re striving to shine a light on creators with very small followings but who have very big auras.

You’ve got Antho Nabet, a new-ish father with an amazing record collection. Tina Edwards, a pivotal DJ in the UK Jazz scene. And ANARCHIVES, a mixtape curator who seems to pull sounds from one of the most eclectic radio shows of all time, ‘Epsilonia,’ which has run on French anarchist station Radio Libertaire since the early 1990s.

Antho Nabet – Daddy’s Room – 14th January 2026

Antho Nabet is a crate digger and radio producer from Marseille. Having many influences from all over the world, key moments have developed his unique DJing style, including working for one of the most important French radio hosts in electronic music, Didier Sinclair (Radio FG).

Our Product Designer Ricky came across his livestreaming one morning. “Stumbling on Antho Nabet’s morning live stream (from France) was one of those perfect Mixcloud discoveries,” he said. “Delving into his uploads since has dug up such a varied collection of gems. Antho clearly has a record collection based on passion and broadness of cross-genre exploration. Whatever he plays it’s guaranteed to be the quality cuts. I was drawn in by his gorgeous artwork and the shows definitely matched in quality.”

Saab For Viktra Studios

Saab is a DJ from Barcelona. He recently hopped on the decks for sustainable fashion brand Viktra’s recent night in the Spanish city. Never one to miss a show with delicious breaks, Julian picked this one out. “This show took me right back to the days when I first discovered and fell in love with DnB and Jungle in the 1990s,” he shares. “A nice long three hour mix with some classic throwback tunes”.

A Guide to Trip Hop Revival on NTS Radio

Trip Hop can mean different things to different people. For some it’s dark and heavy, for others light and sexy. For some others it’s both. Yemi from the blog plucked this one from the NTS catalogue. “Trip Hop goes triple platinum in my house, but I wasn’t aware of a new crop of artists paying it forward over the last few years,” he says. “This is a good intro to get you clued up”.

ANARCHIVES MIXTAPES – VOICESPACE ON A LONG THIN WIRE

The brilliant ANARCHIVES began uploading mixes during 2020 but the mixes and selections themselves seem to be all over the time-space continuum. Many of the mixes are broadcast on Radio Libertaire, the radio station of the Anarchist Federation (FA), founded in 1981 as part of the Epsilonia radio program dedicated to experimental music.

This mix in particular focuses on Lovely Music Ltd., a record label started in New York in 1978. The music is of an ambient nature which borders on the spiritual. Synths, speech and tabla feature on a liminal plane where reality and time ceases to exist. Laurie picked this one, saying: “This late 1970s/early 1980s mix from the Lovely Music catalog has been the perfect deep-listening companion to my London winter mornings with coffee in hand and the SAD lamp on.”

Cool Water FM –  #58: Tender Regrets

Cool Water is a radio show that goes live every Wednesday from Lisbon, Portugal. The host Fredrick starts around 5:30pm GMT / 12:30pm EST and plays music from all over the world. Calum from Support picked this one out. “The existential dread of Tim Heidecker’s relevantly-named ‘Future Is Uncertain’ opens this hour of “non-algorithmically curated music put together by a real human,” he articulated. “With a focus on dwelling on the past and wondering how we got to this point.”

Antonin De Bemels – Mélancolie Douce XXV

Brussels-based Antonin De Bemels hosts a monthly radio show on Radio Campus Bruxelles on the first Friday night of the month. His show ‘mélancoli douce’ translates as ‘sweet melancholy’ and is most definitely a fitting soundtrack to such a feeling. Using Ambient, instrumental and Post-Rock records they create mixes which are dream-like, moody and full of feeling. They recently returned to Mixcloud after a brief hiatus somewhere else so go give them a warm welcome and indulge in the records they put time into digging the internet for.

Paul Order – Record-SmallHours

This all-vinyl mix is an eclectic mix of Downtempo cuts that spans Folk, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Indie. Paul Order is a selector from London who appears on Aaja Radio from time to time on the show ‘The Yesness’.

Tina Edwards is back on Mixcloud! The former Worldwide FM host has been busy making Queer Jazz a successful advocate for young queer people in the Jazz scene and recently got in touch to let us know they’re uploading their mixes from all over the world to Mixcloud once again. This brilliant mix is from their set at The Gallery, a cosy listening bar in Zurich, Switzerland, and traverses all sorts of sounds, from experimental electronics to Jazz. It’s an immersive experience inspired by the seasons and a unique pain women go through once a month…
