The Beatportal Residency: Gorgon City & Realm Records
The very first Beatportal Residency is dedicated to Realm Records, one of modern house music’s most impactful labels. Founded in 2017 by Gorgon City – the duo of Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scot Realm has become a hub for forward-thinking, underground sounds that light up dancefloors across the world. Channelling their deep connection to club culture, the duo have crafted genre-blurring bangers for generations of club goers and party animals. What’s more, they’ve built Realm to platform sonic innovation. Gorgon City let loose on their residency, playing classic Realm tracks, rare grooves, and an exciting glimpse into the label’s future.
The Beatportal Residency: When Stars Align & Samantha Loveridge
Australian DJ and artist Samantha Loveridge blends the incredible rhythms of Middle Eastern and African sonics to produce melodic anthems for all moods. She’s played everywhere from Burning Man to Rio Festival and transmits her vibey demeanour through her music and DJ sets. At this point, she is a fixture of the club music scene and is only getting better. For her Beatportal Residency,
Loveridge is representing CamelPhat’s label When Stars Align (WSA) and offers up an enticing journey through the label’s discography. The result is an hour of emotive grooves, movie-like textures, and dance numbers that capture WSA’s essence. “As an artist, I’m drawn to labels that have a strong identity but still leave room for creative freedom,” Loveridge explains. “WSA strikes that balance perfectly. What makes it really special is the way it champions both emerging and established artists, giving rising talent a global platform. There’s a real sense of intention behind every release. Knowing my music is personally backed by CamelPhat, artists I’ve admired for years, makes the recognition even more meaningful and rewarding.”
The Beatportal Residency: Club Sweat & KLP
Beatportal shines a light on Australia’s Club Sweat. It is an award-nominated label known for supplying music from the wonkier, deeper side of the club. Naturally then, they drop feel-good, playful House bangers for the masses. An offshoot of Sweat It Out, the label’s released tracks by Go Freek, The Night Slug, Catz’ n Dogz and more. Behind the decks for this mix is Sydney-based DJ, producer and vocalist KLP. Her mash up of deep grooves and sharp House energy has made her a standout globally. “Club Sweat is all about backing bold, feel good dance music,” KLP tells us. “It feels like home. My sound is focused around energetic, vocal driven tracks that get you in that place where you want to let go on the dance floor.”
The Beatportal Residency: Microhertz & Archie Hamilton
MicroHertz is the forward-leaning record label headed by Archie Hamilton. Releasing records with stomping basslines, on point percussion and danceability, MicroHertz has become a home for all things Tech House. Pushing alternative and deeper sounds, the imprint provides a forum for the next cohort of beatmakers to thrive. Manning this mix is Archie Hamilton himself. Beatportal opens its doors to Alan Fitzpatrick, considered by many to be a heavyweight of UK Techno. Heading up Southampton-based record label We Are The Brave, Fitzpatrick has championed musical freedom, energy, and attitude. It has released records by the likes of Modea, NANCY Live, Oscar L, Alex Rubino and others pushing sonic boundaries. Since launching the imprint in 2016, Alan has leaned on dance music’s present and future. This has ensured a potent blend of the current and upcoming class of producers.
