Wand Arise

James Jackson Toth aka Wooden Wand
has cut a meandering and idiosyncratic path
through the backwoods of American counter culture.
From the early cocoon of psychacidweirdfolkjams
with Vanishing Voice to the fully formed monarch butterfly
of a songwriter he is now.
As a wordsmith, his only contemporary rivals
are Will Oldham and Bill Callahan in my mostly humble opinion
and to me he's an all time great, in the tradition of Townes
Earle, Dylan,Newbury,Nelson,Young etc etc....
