The theme 'Space' opened up many possibilities with Sci Fi and soundtracks. Instead I opted for a 'space disco' theme drawing upon the sub-genre of disco from the late seventies for a lot of the material, yet still mixing in the eclectic like Leftfield, Underground Resistance, David Bowie and Duran Duran.
The concept behind this series of mixes is that a friend invited me into a group who choose a theme, and then make a physical mix CD of music representing this theme, and design a cover to match. Each quarter the group has an exchange meeting where each individual receives a copy of each of member's CD created around that theme.
