This recording belongs to the family of Logs (As in recordings, not Margaret Lanterman's wooden sidekick).
This is a drone piece I recorded around mid-July 2020. Around that time I had been working with focus on final products, working on tracks for my album, a 90-minute cassette with a full length Beep &c. release. The process of creating music had become a burden. The mindset of meticulously working on the album, had given me an almost instant flaccid energy whenever I felt like making sounds.
I decided to address my problem and deal with my lack of motivation. I did so by focusing on patience. Working with a drone and emphasizing the different (subtle and not-so-subtle) characteristics of the sound, gave me a space for listening and working in a meditative state, where I could lay my painfully sore passion to rest. Making this, I realized how easy it was for me to record on cassettes and that I should remember to consider my artistical health, thereby initializing the Log project.
