Three hours of mod revival bands and 60s sounds from ’79 onwards. The records we pestered Cambridgeshire DJs to play—some put them on reluctantly, others never had them. Sometimes the cheesier Motown was as close as we got, along with the chart mod revival records and, of course, The Jam. It’s all here, with no shame.
As we got to know more about the scene’s music, we started buying records ourselves—to listen to at home and play at our own Nightriders Scooter Club nights in Ely. Some obvious favourites, some discoveries along the way. That’s how it was then.
