From Jason (mistahsparkz) Cool song selection. For longer transitions make sure the songs are in key or +\- compatible keys. Sometimes you can get away with it by ear but i felt like there was some mismatched elements. Blending was good but watch out for phrases. I gave my other friend that’s learning the same advise. Most songs are 4/4, so everything is multiples of 4, 8, 16, 32, etc. At some point you can hear changes in the song at every multiple on the 1 count of the beat. Assuming the track you are dropping in is also on the 1, lining up the two becomes easier and you transition in/out basically when the song naturally changes. This gives you much smoother transitions and places to exit the song. You can also force a build up by using loops and stuff, but I’m lazy and I like to use whatever is already there for the most part 😬. But you’re doing great!
