A special edition of my Weekender mix series, Summer Sendoff is a forty-five minute mix, of sixteen tracks in total. This is a one - off recording, meant to emulate old mixtapes from the late 90s. These tapes, ninety minutes in length (both sides et al), gave us 45 minutes to take the listener on a journey. Mixing the next track, time after time, five minutes between, just wouldn't cut it; and this is what separated the boys from the men. This is my homage to that era.
This was, as always, recorded on 2 x Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK IIs, and my little giant, the Allen & Heath Xone 62. No editor used.
