I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to offend or touch a sore spot. I simply meant I liked the music you have here as well as your other username. I can grasp the concept that it requires great skill, dedication, time and a great love of this music to create sets (and I do consider it an artistic creation) such as yourself, Elbowz or Yaz, just to name a few. I would love to be able to record and upload my own playlists into a mix...I have no delusions that having dj software insto presto makes one a dj, but only because I love this music and had hopes of one day sharing songs I really loved. I have only the greatest respect for the artists, producers and djs that share such treasures.
No offense taken and thank you for clearing that up with such a beautiful answer :)
(There are many ppl reading these comments and sometimes i wish that there would be a kind of privagte msg-function here on mixcloud.)
This topic is very close to my heart and i often feel the need to tell (other) people about the fact that this difference between the mixing "crafts" actually exists, because most ppl really can not spot the difference or care about it, and that is what some "djs" have discovered and are exploiting, leading to a lesser experience for us all everywhere (just take the sad EDM-development for example with the "clowns" "pushing buttons"). I'm very happy for your words, and i feel honoured that i am able to create something that "resonates with the tuning of your specific soul tuning" :)
oh, i do not even know where to start on this topic…
If you like the music of both the monikers, that is fine and it’s good also, it means you are enjoying my work!
Well to begin with… there’s a huge difference between what a carpenter carves out from a piece of wood, compared to what the 3d-printer can print on command (am i clear in this analogy?). I mean there’s also similarities, but the work comitted behind is totally different. The time spent, and the skills required making one of the live sets of my other moniker, compared to ”pressing generate” here can not be compared. I’m not saying that every top-dj use automatic tools, but more than you would assume, do, and that is a fact whether they make a million per gig or not. Many of us are tired (to put it mildly) of those ”dj’s”, hence my long comment i suppose.
If you can not realize the difference it’s fine, it’s ok, Paris Hilton can’t either, but believe me, there IS a huge difference in the skills involved doing it all live compared to cut and paste on the computer in the studio, or even generating a tape totally automatic.
I’m not saying that i’m so great or something, cause i knowthat i’m not. I’m not even a DJ per definition nowadays. Really, compared to the maestros of the 70’s and 80’s… who did it all on vinyl and had to have it all in the head, every.single.song-structure!
What some ppl are doing today is something "in between". We have the selection-skills and want to preserve a little of the art of playing the sets live also, instead of going the easy way and doing like most people, in fact, have done: "Giving up" to a sync-button, or a machine doing it all, but pretending that they don't.
Liked last 10 minutes or so best...nice mix. I go to gym 4-5x week do 30 minutes weight training alternating upper and lower body with machines and free weights (I am certified personal trainer) and do karate 2-3 nights week. Always looking for good non-conventional music to work out to, help me forget the burn/pain lol! Have Best Toolroom 2013 in my library for example, ass kicking songs ;) Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more workout mixes...
yeah. i just wanted to have another place to experiment and expand things. Making everything manual & live like i normally do has it' s limits, at least for me, and so it's nice to be able to have all this under another moniker ;-)
totally agree but i care more about the mix, live sets often sounds disappointing when listening back . unless it's well prepared like you said.. the kick putting on a record that's hot at the moment live is a magic feeling and a nudge or 2 nobody minds then..it's been years for me but still get goosebumps remembering :) but listening back 2 myself i have erased the live sets .. it's eating time too

Btw like music from both your monikers... Not a dj so subtleties of studio vs live etc escape me :)

Thank you. We'll see :)
Great energy!
Thank you!
Nice Dance Mix!!
Thank you, Mr!
aha this is what you mean :) love the mixing !

you mean using pop chart stuff or studio mixing ?
Both things, and also styles i normally would not try to mix live
In fact you made a good description. I should call this profile "studio mixing", and the other one "live", to make it more easy to understand :)

I sometimes wish that mixcloud had a chat-function, or some private msg-function :)
