You pass the front gate and use the small stone pathway to reach the rear garden. A cluster of smart looking people are gathered in small social circles, all looking chic. It’s Saturday afternoon at Villa Oleandra and they have asked you to play a DJ set for the guests. Supposedly, George Clooney himself might show up - maybe even during your performance. A quick mental revision of your attire goes through your head:
Short-sleeved basic white-tee. Check.
Navy Ralph Lauren chinos. Check.
Barbour Capstan loafers. Check.
Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunglasses. Check.
It’s a sunny afternoon with moderate temperatures - perfect for a cocktail party. You pass by the pool, observing the ridiculous amount of multi-colored floaties, beautiful people having fun with them. On the deep end, you notice the subtle DJ booth. Someone's phone is connected to the mixer via AUX. Politely, you fade the AUX channel off and fade in the first song of your set.
