WHALE DONE
What’s so funny about this? We haven’t done a spoonerism in quite a while so I thought this one would be appropriate today. Remember a spoonerism is two or more words in a relatively common expression where the initial sounds and/or letters are interchanged, with the resulting new words still being acceptable in English. As the world population explodes we are facing an enormous ecological crisis. Many 19th century practices are now threatening the entire planet. Burning coal as fuel is a good example; another one is the hunting and killing of whales for their fat, bones and other body parts. This has gone on for so long that many species are on the verge of extinction and if countries don’t protect these whales and prevent these practices, we will all be in danger. Of course whales are not only being killed off by hunters but also from ocean pollution and even practices of other kinds of fishing using nets and traps intended for fish or crabs but instead ensnaring whales and killing t
