What’s so funny about this? I was wondering how explicit or implicit should I be with this joke. One idea I had was to show a couple in bed on a linoleum floor. Another idea was to just show some guy lying or sitting on the floor with a woman smugly looking out and talking to the viewers. One of the limitations of not being able to draw is that I have to use the stock characters, settings and situations provided by the cartoon creation software I use. Granted there are tons of choices. But still, life is infinitely varied and the right combination of character and setting does not always present itself. I know I wanted the guy to look exhausted. When I searched for “tired”, up came the dizzy looking bear. That’s when I knew I had what I wanted. I found the perfect female bear and I had the right metaphor without being too offensive, I hope.
