What’s so funny about this? Today’s joke depends 100% on the visual. Without it we only have a saying, proverb, or what have you. It’s just an accurate observation, and we can all learn from it. But it’s not funny and it doesn’t even try to be. What is funny is the photo for which it’s a caption. That photo is an empty roll of toilet paper. That pretty much says it all. To add insult to injury, the roll is not 100% empty. There are a few scraps clinging to the roll. So if you’re really desperate to wipe your butt you can try to use the scraps. If that doesn’t work, there’s always the roll itself; it can be unrolled. It’s a little stiff and thick and coarse, but who cares? Desperate times call for desperate measures.
