What’s so funny about this? You may never have heard of Tallulah Bankhead. She was a movie star who was big in the 40’s and 50’s. She played Broadway as well. She had a very recognizable voice and style and was often a guest on the early TV shows I watched as a kid. One of her most famous movies was “Lifeboat” by Alfred Hitchcock. She had a reputation for saying whatever she wanted to whomever she wanted. When you are rich and famous you can do that. Just ask Donald Trump. But if you also happen to be a racist idiot, sooner or later you will get your just desserts. Trump is both, Tallulah was neither. She was just a little ahead of her time and didn’t feel that a woman needed to know her place. She had a lot of lovers and a lot of adventures and wasn’t shy about speaking her mind. Today’s quote is a good summation of her attitude and we could all take a lesson from her. We all have our regrets
