RAILROADED?

What’s so funny about this? Yet another case where a tiny stroke of a pen can alter the fate of a woman or man. If we are to read this as intended then it’s simply another terrible case of stupid and senseless violence. A woman accidentally gets killed by a train. Presumably she was run over. Perhaps she got her foot caught in the tracks. What was she doing there in the first place? There might be more to the story but it’s pure conjecture. What is not speculation is that this low-life guy sees the fallen woman and instead of seeing if she’s still alive, or calling an ambulance or the police, he helps himself to her cell phone. Fortunately he was caught, or apprehended, and is now in jail. But as I said, this was most likely the information that the writer or typesetter intended to convey in the headline. However it is not what the headline says. Somebody left out, or omitted, a comma after the word “train”. Consequently we are left to read about how a train which is in jail, killed a
