ODD JOKE
The Math teacher explained how the numbers 1,3,7 and 9 were all odd, then asked the class how to make 7 even. When no one could answer, he told them to remove the letter S.
What’s so funny about this? This short little riddle has more to it than meets the eye or ear, for that matter. The set-up is designed to make us think about all those math or maths classes, if you’re speaking British English, we had in school. We have a series of numbers all separated by one digit. These numbers are all call Odd numbers and they go on infinitely. Those other numbers form a series of their own, known as “Even” numbers; this series also goes on infinitely. So far, so good, but then comes the “corker”, the question designed to throw you off your game, off track. What can you do to make the number “seven” even?
