What’s so funny about this? With this joke, you’re getting three puns for the price of one! Of course you’ve got to be able to identify them. The joke was actually inspired by a news story about a gorilla in a Cincinnati zoo that attacked a family who wouldn’t stop teasing him. People can be ridiculously stupid sometimes. In this case the family allowed the youngest daughter to throw stuff at the gorilla while they all yelled at and taunted him. I’m not saying they deserved it but they definitely need a wakeup call. Enough of them, let’s look at the joke. In my version of the joke a gorilla charges a group of scientists. “Charge” has several meanings at play here.
