What’s so funny about this? This joke has a classic wordplay and arguing strategy that is as old as arguments between human beings. And since there have always been arguments between husbands and wives, lovers, politicians, good guys and bad guys, merchants and customers, etc. you know that someone is bound to use this strategy. So what is exactly the difference between fault and blame? In the last 30 years or so, US insurance companies have adopted a “no fault” policy. Before, whoever could be proven to be “at fault” had to pay for the damages. But now, there’s no finger pointing; everybody has to pay something; only the insurance companies make money on both sides.
