What’s so funny about this? We’ve got three puns for the price of one here, a real bargain! OK, I’ll admit it’s kind of a silly image, but I enjoyed reading the actual pun so much that I needed to find some kind of photo to go with it. The main puns concern themselves with the word “c-o-n-d-u-c-t.” This word can be either a noun or a verb, and the pronunciation changes depending on which one you want it to be. CONduct is a noun meaning behavior or management of an activity. That’s pretty cut and dry because it has no other meaning. The verb conDUCT, on the other hand has several distinct meanings among them is behaving, but it also applies to electricity and managing its flow. In this regard it can also apply to leading an orchestra (managing the playing and flow of music) or even managing the flow of passengers on a train.
