DRINK UP

What’s so funny about this? It’s been a really long time since I’ve done a limerick. I didn’t feel inspired to compose one so I looked around on different web sites. Lots of stuff out there about the city of Limerick in Ireland for which this poetic form is named. Also lots of “dirty” limericks, but I can’t use those though I can laugh at them. Also found lots of bad limericks and poorly written ones ignoring the metric requirements. I settled on this one because of the wordplay. It really doesn’t require a picture, but you all seem to. Anyway, at first we learn about a woman who drinks beer in an unconventional way, from a cup. Usually the beer container would be a glass, or a mug. Cups are supposed to be more for coffee or tea. But this lady decided the contents of her cup would be beer.
