BRING IT

A man and a woman are chatting in a dog park. The woman says to him, “My dog can bring this ball back from a mile away.” The man answers, “Sounds kind of far-fetched.”

What’s so funny about this? I love dog parks. My wife and I have had a dog pretty much continuously for the past 21 years. Luckily, there’s a dog park less than five minutes away by car from our house. In fact it just opened at the same time as we got the first dog. BTW both dogs were/are wire-haired fox terriers, first Beezus and now Scooter. In fact it’s Scooter you see in the What’s So Funny logo. Dog parks are wonderful because in addition to providing a safe area for the dog to get exercise it also allows them to get socialized with other dogs. Not surprisingly, there’s a lot of human socializing, positive and negative, that goes on in dog parks too. In the joke, the man and woman are talking about one of the most common activities that goes on in dog parks, chasing and fetching balls. Dog just love to do this. It
