BLOODY HELL

What’s so funny about this? This joke is about biology and English. The circulatory system or the cardiovascular system, if you prefer, is about our blood, our heart and how the blood moves and travels around and throughout our bodies. It’s applicable to all mammals, including humans. We’re all warm-blooded and have similar systems. Non-mammals, such as birds and reptiles and fish have blood too but their systems are not as complex. What exactly is the purpose of blood? It’s to bring oxygen to all parts of our bodies and too remove wastes. Possibly it’s synonymous or parallel to the system which circulates energy, or chi, or ki or prana around our bodies too. These are all Eastern concepts and are not a part of Western understanding at all. Nevertheless I think it’s a good idea to mention this in passing, since I happen to subscribe to these concepts. In other words I believe in this stuff. BUT they have nothing to do with the pun. Bringing oxygen to the cells is what the arteries do.
