What’s so funny about this? Most of the jokes I tell here involve some form of word play where the fun is what happens with the language itself. Another very common type of joke is the kind that is made at the expense of someone or something else. Sometimes these jokes are good natured, sometimes they are not; sometimes they are cruel, racist, sexist, and/or disgusting. I try to avoid those. Today, however I’m making a lawyer joke. There are certain professions, at least in the West, that seems to be targets for the humor of insults. Three that I can think of off the bat, immediately, are doctors, lawyers and politicians. Of course, if you are a celebrity then you are totally fair game. One profession which used to be OK, but can now get you killed if you joke about it is, clergyman/woman.
