ATOMIC JOKES

What’s so funny about these? This is the first time I have even presented a double joke, a double whammy, two for the price of one! It’s just that the two jokes are so similar that they deserve to be shown and told together. They’re both take place in a bar and they both require some knowledge of physics and atomic structure. But don’t worry, it’s at a very elementary level. Let’s deal with the atom first. Most atoms consist of three separate components, a nucleus composed of protons and neutrons, and electrons which orbit around the nucleus. Different atoms have different numbers of each of these, however protons always have a positive charge, electrons always have a negative charge, and neutrons have no charge at all, hence their name. Now we can take a look at the jokes. Remember the funniest part of the “so-and-so walks into a bar” style of joke is when the so-and-so is not human or not even what we would call “alive”. That said, in the first joke, it’s a neutron (from a nucleus so
