If the guy whose job it is to spray water over the veggies at the grocery store develops an 'attitude,' he should be charged as a petty criminal for having a mist demeanor.

What’s so funny about this? This joke is not only corny, but it’s worthy of tomatoes being thrown as well as radishes, turnips, potatoes, etc. In other words all the vegetables you can get your hands on. Why? Because it takes a very common scene these days and makes a terrific pun with it. One of the neatest tricks that supermarkets use to entice you and me to buy their vegetables is to make them look good and appetizing. Some genius somewhere at some time discovered that wet veggies look much newer and fresher than dry ones. Vegetables do dry out, just like flowers. Spraying them with water mist not only improves their appearance but they actually smell better and probably last longer too. Exactly like those roses in vases at your home.
