This is a full on morning set with 145 Bpm. The tracks are all coming from the net label Ektoplasm, that releases free downlodable trance-music form all over the world. I mixed it with samples from the first sci-fi movie, produced in the former GDR in 1960. "Der Schweigende Stern" is a sci-fi movie about a voyage to the planet venus. On a metalevel it is about the cold war and the threat of nuclear destruction within it. In the mix are three blocks of atmospheres and voices from the movie, but the story is also told by a lot of small samples in the music. I tried to arrange it as a "danceable story", in German I found a word for it: "Tanzgeschichte". The voices are all in German, but there exist also an english version of the movie, called: "first flight to venus". I really like that movie 'cause of its potential to be a real sci-fi adventure. Back to the music: The sound is heavy and groovy with a triple base and a lot of built ups, soundscapes and atmospheres.
