Beth Horner

Today's topic is understanding how an organization communicates with it's stakeholders through it's financials. I have with me a terrific expert in this area, my friend Beth Horne- who've I've known since grades school. Beth Horne is a Senior Associate and Private client Investment consultant at Charles Schwab. She is an accredited asset management specialist, she has an MBA, several security lisences and she has so much to share with us today. We talked about sustainability investing (Al Gore is a partner in a firm that specializes in exactly that) and it makes a great case for why investors should start focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and corporate-Governance), why her clients are now limiting their exposure to firearms for the benefit of their businesses, other areas companies have been socially conscious, and why communicating through financials is a great way to stay transparent with stakeholders.
