Hey Al have you seen Clarence Ashley do the Cuckoo, live filmed by Alan lomax. It's on You Tube and is great as his rendition of Banks of the Ohio with Doc Watson. Clarence is a huge find for me. Thanks to Gareth Hedges for that.
Regularly play tracks from the Kerouac output with Steve Allen on piano. You HAVE to hear Jack reading it to get it I think. Much lampooned . At his best never better.
