I placed it on the table, freshly taken out of the oven and looked at it perplexed, with the eyes of a child who is exploring the marvel of the steaming hot freshly baked autumn fruit getting out in such delicate, almost imperceptible swirls of aroma and last breaths given to the cold environment. I was wondering if it was breathing. The fruit and its shell that I started putting pressure on as soon as the first shout-outs of its vaporous sweat left the brown surface. It smelled like nuts and I immediately knew that it would go perfectly with some sugar cherries but I wanted none; it was time for this moment to enjoy the pleasure of feeding my other senses, the less fatally driven by the flesh. I wanted my thirst to grow and the appetite to know the right moment of enjoying it, and this was right! The moment has come. I pressed harder the shiny warm-brown shell and it felt too young and alive, flexible so I added some weight... The wind brought a few tales of the little woods around and a little rustle of leaves playing their autumnal symphonies started playing in the background. I felt it getting closer and closer to me and as a murderer wanting to get the work done and enjoy the music offered so unexpectedly; I just wanted to get the job done and start relaxing on those divine tones touching my oddly troubled inside. How did it get there, the thought of a murderous act?! This need for revenge! Why?
I held my breath while still listening to the melody preventing me from collapsing like a putrid wooden statue and it cracked open. Silence.
"It's a fact! I am a nut-cracker loonie who can hear the music of autumn only while applying the force of a brute on different items like these chestnuts."
I leave the thought to the deep silence of the space and soon I feel that it takes off, spills its invisible body through the window opening and launches into the airwaves like a ghost. "Finally free!"
The chestnut trees in the park in front of this building lay aligned like little military people in wait for the tone. And it starts - the singing of their branches and leaves in the wind, conducted by this ghost of a past that will never cease to haunt us.

It's poetry time, again! I found it the best way to celebrate the end of October, marching towards the beginning of November. If you feel like getting yourself overdosed with Autumn poetry this month, here is a little extra - the poems I wanted to include in the previous show but somehow escaped the first round of autumnal poetry. Now, here it is, on for Thursday among the tracks list of Flashes and Flickers by Recluse Antinomy:
A Reminder: Autumn Poetry _ I want to see something else
~ a track to make room for the entire month's celebration ~
"What can be better a way to celebrate but through poetry?"
Please enjoy and drop your personal favourites down in the comments box below or in the comments of the track itself.
Have a most beautiful ongoing autumn.
