I’m posting these impromptu mixes to build a little community around something I think a lot of us have in common: a lifetime of collecting records, a love of discovering music, and the desire to keep playing it for the sheer enjoyment of it. Maybe you’re a lifelong collector with thousands of records stacked on shelves, in boxes, or taking over rooms in your house. #detroit-techno We’ve got jobs, responsibilities, families, and plenty of miles behind us, but the urge to dig through the crates, find unexpected connections between records, and put together a good mix never really goes away. I’m not trying to be the next big thing, and these aren’t polished, carefully engineered productions. They’re spontaneous snapshots of what I’m listening to, what I’m rediscovering, and wherever the records happen to take me that day. The idea is simple: share the music, inspire each other, discover things we might have missed, and create a space for like-minded people to connect. No algorithms, no hype, no pressure to be anything other than someone who loves music and still gets a kick out of putting records on. If you’re a fellow at-home DJ, lifelong record collector, or someone who just enjoys hearing a thoughtful mix of good music, you’re in the right place. We might be getting older, but the crates are still calling. Let’s keep digging, keep mixing, and keep sharing.
