The end of the world is near! No, I'm not referring to the inevitable Mayan apocalypse, but instead to the warnings told to all children who watched that quintessential 90's environmentally conscious film, FernGully: The Last Rainforest. It's the story of friendship between a (potentially Australian) male human who teaches a young female fairy how to groove to rock music while Robin Williams plays a rapping bat named Batty. Meanwhile, Tim Curry voices the villain who wants to suck the life out of every tree everywhere and ruin the planet, causing a discussion about why Tim Curry is great.
