Songs inspired by the Techno 2000 show, which was broadcast weekly on WTUL (91.5 FM) New Orleans in the 80s, and featured Martin, John Thomas and "Computer". The music presented was a unique mix of SynthPop, Europe Electro, EBM, Japanese kitsch, all still obscure in the USA at the time. The show was sponsored by Metronome Records (featuring a great selection of 12" imports) and Peter's Pizza.

Man does that bring back memories. When I was like 14 I listened to WTUL constantly. Techno 2000 with John and Martin Thomas was my favorite. Then of course the Harcore Show with Ivan and Pete. My god how lucky could a kid be.?
Hey! Glad you enjoyed it. I used to record the Techno 2000 show off WTUL and then listen to the cassettes. That was an introduction to some great music. My Punk 80 mix was definitely influenced by the Hardcore Show. Two back-to-back favorites broadcast on WTUL.
