Mike Bartley

MasterChef 2021 contestant Mike Bartley had a chat with Lee Brownson about his life growing up, how he got into cooking and his time on MasterChef.

Mike is from Bishop Auckland and amongst other things competed in Masterchef 2021 winning a coveted Masterchef apron and receiving strong feedback from judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace as well as guest judges Thomas Frake (Masterchef Champion 2020) and Ping Coombes (Masterchef Champion 2021).

Since appearing on the show, Mike has started his own catering business Djam Kitchen, offering private dining, pop-up restaurants and DIY meal kits throughout the North-East, as well as appearing at Seaham Food Festival as a guest chef in August.

Mike is just one of the celebrity chef's who will be appearing at the Bishop Auckland Food Festival this weekend (Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October 2021)
