Very cool, Wayne--thanks for pointing me to these, a very cool approach. I met Mr. Reynolds (via email) back when he was writing 'Rip It Up' via the '1981' box-set I made back then (now available digitally at my blog, http://musicophilia.wordpress.com) which was much more in-depth than the recent '1979' set. The book turnrd out great, and I liked the purely oral-history follow-up just as much. Looking forward to your series!
