Naaman was a great Aramaean general who needed God’s healing. But his mind is totally made up as to how God should go about his healing. He was prepared to do something difficult and was insulted when Elisha the prophet asked him to do something easy. He thought that God and his prophet should have given him the proper respect because he was a general. His story offers many lessons for us on how we approach God and how our stature and expectations get in the way of God’s purpose for our lives.
