This week I caught up with Sooji via Zoom call ahead of Sonic Arcana, presented by Milk Thistle Records at Castlemaine's Mechanics Lane. In the interview we discuss her musical background and the various ensembles of which she's been a member, as well as her creative practice across acoustic and electronic instruments. The second half of the show is an exploration of some of Sooji's musical references, including works from such artists and composers as Ros Bandt, Laurie Spiegel, Franco Battiato and Linda Perhacs, as well as two tracks from Sooji's own album First Loves (2023, Eternal Music Projects). 🎚️🎛️
