View from Earth Blog Descriptor November 11th, 2018
With those excerpts from previous Remembrance Sundays on View from Earth, we mark the centenary today of the armistice which ended World War One, the war which in its horror was thought to have ended all wars but sadly only let to others in a century of war. Our whole programme will mark different aspects of this Remembrance Sunday, beginning with Gail on the build-up to the day.
We cover the Scottish commemoration service at Glasgow Cathedral and the walks of gratitude and hope afterwards to war memorials.
Many poems illustrate various stages of View from Earth Remembrance. The programme concludes with a new poem.
