The 'Pick of the pops, Solid gold 60 & Top 20 Recoveries 1955-1977' Facebook group has gone from strength to strength for almost three years now, with new recoveries every weekend thanks to the dedication of Paul Arnold and others. Among finds, there have been some very rare 1950s recordings, featuring both Alan Dell and David Jacobs as presenters, early Fluff finds from when he presented the show as part of Trad Tavern in 1961, Don Moss shows, shows jointly presented by Pete Murray, with Fluff in America, and clips from the first two hours of Solid Gold Sixty with Tom Browne 1972-74. Almost daily I hear of new finds in the pipeline, usually from old reel-to-reel recordings. However, we are always on the lookout for more. If you can help, please contact Paul or me, or better still join his group. Here is the link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2223615914523004 These recordings will eventually also turn up on one (or both) of my 'This Day In History' Facebook groups, where I put out appeals daily for missing shows. Please feel free to join those as well, but be aware that you need to answer a simple question and agree to the rules when joining.
