This months spotlight is on the man (fox), the myth, the legend Fantastic Mr Fox. Every release is completely fresh and unique. I’ve been a fan/mildly obsessed after hearing a SBTRKT remix on his Sketches EP(released by one of my favourite labels Black Acre in 2009). A handful of EP’s, remixes and singles across the years and I’m still finding myself in awe of Mr Fox’s production. Whether it’s his take on post dubstep, house or electronicy beats or his team ups with Denai Moore and Alby Daniel’s it’s always special. I still play the Evelyn EP weekly and always circle back to On My Own because it lives in its own world. There’s not much out there socially from FMF and the nature of the releases gives me the impression of someone that takes a lot of care over what they release so: wherever you are I hope you’re good and maybe Black Acre can pass on a little thanks for the music over the years.
