As a DJ who started out in college radio, I greatly appreciate how hard it is to keep a weekly show fresh, innovative, and interesting. DJ Static and Professor Groove have kept their show going for decades, and have absolutely helped influence who I am as a DJ. Their music selection has kept me learning, moving and listening to new music I would never know about since show 112.
This mix is my tribute to the infamous "sample moment." I've thrown in my favorite double samples, a tribute to the recently passed Roy Ayers, as well as a handful of artists that I would have never heard without WeFunk Radio in my ears every week.
Thank you for all you've done, and I hope you both have another 20 years in you. The world and the culture need it.
