I interviewed The Selector for the Sunshine Breakfast show on Salford City Radio on 27/09/17. Their were lots of laughs as Pauline Black and Gaps Henderson talked about their influences growing up. Touring in an old green bedford van and those wonderfully colourful stage outfits.
They tell us of the birth of Ska, The massive Two Tone tour of the 80s with Madness,The Beat & The Specials. Also why the single and title track of their second album Celebrate the Bullet was banned from radio air play and why they still sing politically charged songs with a great beat.
They talk about their new album “Daylight” which drops on 13th October and gaps gives me the proper pronunciation of the current single The Big Badoff. The current tour sees them at Manchester's 02 Ritz on the 13th October with The Beat.
