I am curating the Meltdown festival in London next month at the Southbank Centre (August 17-30). Check their website (www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whatson/festivals-series/david-byrnes-meltdown) for tickets and more info.

Meltdown will feature a very eclectic grouping of artists (no surprise) and I have tried to mix in some interesting theater pieces and installations, too, that blur the line between musical and theatrical performance—a line which doesn’t really exist, but one that we sometimes tolerate. Many people will be familiar with some of the artists but others, I assume, will be new. Here, then, is an over 3-hour-long streaming playlist that has a little music from EVERY act that’s playing (except the Gob Squad theater piece though there is some singing in that, too!). So, if you’re having trouble making up your mind what to see, maybe this can help!
