Threads’ goal is to platform the people making a positive difference in their communities, through broadcast, editorial, live performances and events.

Since our launch in January 2019, we’ve built a roster of over 300 regular shows, organised broadcast pop-up events in 25 different countries and 3 continents, we’ve partnered with local organisations to support fundraising and awareness events, and we’ve provided regular slots for community projects, charities and other groups to connect with a much wider audience. Not bad for the first year of a volunteer-run organisation.

Our two internet channels stream 24/7:
- Threads (live from our Tottenham studio)
- Threads* (pre-recorded and live content from neighbourhoods worldwide).

In 2020, we will lose our home above The Cause nightclub in Tottenham Hale due to redevelopments in the area. We see this situation as an opportunity to kick start ‘phase two’ of Threads, with a celebration of the fantastic achievements of 2019, and an appeal to our friends and followers for support.

Subs paid by show hosts cover our basic expenses (rent, general maintenance of equipment and some other overheads), but they will not stretch to the improvements we need to evolve.

THREADS48 - the closing celebration

This Crowdfunder will end at 23:59 on Sunday December 15th. We're culminating in a worldwide, 48-hour, non-stop streaming event, across both our channels, with amazing special guests and Threads crew, showcasing the breadth of our programming.
