Glasgow based Vinyl DJ, hailing from the dingy southern streets of Govanhill. Resident at a night called rush in Glasgow's very own La Cheetah club, also part of the Lunatic djs for Lunacy in the big G-town.
"JOHNNY5 here with an extremely rave breaking 90s breaks extravaganza. I picked out a wide range of furiously fast rave breakbeats for this one, covering some of the best years of the rave scene – 92'-95’. A major part of my inspiration with this stuff comes from my old man as he introduced me to 90s dance. My biggest influences in relation to rave and techno DJs are people like DJ seduction, Jj sy, Ellis Dee, jeff mills, early stuff from Carl Cox and many more. I also take a lot of inspiration from old pirate radio stations from back in the early 90s."
