From New York, the greatest city in the world, and where it's for adults only, it's The Update with Brandon Julien! We're still in this stormy and unsettled weather pattern, but Friday comes the light at the end of the tunnel- and it's less humid too!

Some stories talked about on today's show were:

1. Police say a Brooklyn man has been charged in a stabbing attack that left a 71-year-old woman dead and her 87-year-old husband hospitalized. Police said that 55-year-old Oscar Rodriguez was arrested on a murder charge.

2. Attorney Michael Avenatti emerged from a New York courthouse to say he's facing the fight of his life "against the ultimate goliath, the Trump administration."

3. Feminist icon Gloria Steinem says New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is one of her top four choices for president and "the only male human being" on the list. Steinem joined de Blasio at a City Hall rally for legislation that would require employers to provide paid vacation days to their workers.
