The Update- June 24th

From New York, the greatest city in the world, and this summer's addicting high speed thrill ride, it's The Update with Brandon Julien! We're back for today and Wednesday after some time off before we move to evenings temporarily starting next Monday!

Some stories talked about on today's show were:

1. Police are investigating a hit and run in Manhattan that left a bicyclist dead. It happened just after 9 a.m. on Sixth Avenue between West 23rd and 24th streets in the Flatiron District. Authorities say a 33-year-old woman was struck by a white delivery truck that was last seen heading northbound on Sixth Avenue.

2. Nik Wallenda says he "freaked" out for a second when his balancing pole slipped during a high-wire walk with his sister above Times Square. Nik and Lijana Wallenda spoke on ABC's "Good Morning America."

3. The NYPD is looking for a man that authorities say shot and wounded two people while he was riding a CitiBike.
