Big updates in November!

This year has 100% gone by way too quickly, holy shit. Only two more months to go. But keeping ourselves in the present, November is a trance month.

I wanted to take this time to address something that's been weighing on my mind: fresh beets or lack thereof. I have gone the majority of the year without acquiring or obtaining new and fresh beets. It's a time consuming process that can be difficult to accomplish with a full time job and while battling near constant sleepiness from sleep apnea. Music acquisition can also be costly when you're obtaining a high volume of tracks and doing so legally. The time consumption of acquisition can be difficult for me due to battling near constant sleepiness from sleep apnea. Also, some medical issues early in the year put my earnings behind the normal and expected amounts.

However, there is good news and it is two-fold. First, my wakefulness issues have been mostly addressed. This means that even with my full time job, I have more of my evenings available to me to get back into the swing of harvesting new beets. Rather than getting off work after a standard eight hour day and feeling completely drained of energy. Second, at the beginning of 2024 I'll have some minor investments getting realized and that should help fund my music harvesting efforts a little better.

Additionally, on a slightly unrelated topic, keep your eyes on my YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/@TheFreshBeets). Recording videos is a larger pain in the ass than recording audio, so that's why the content for that page has been on an indefinite hiatus and why content for this page has been so consistent. However, it was easier to grow that audience with less effort. That leaves me divided on how I'm going to approach both YouTube and Mixcloud or if one is going to be sacrificed to focus the attention on the other. For 2023, YouTube basically got sacrificed and I'm toying with the idea of sacrificing Mixcloud to focus on YouTube in 2024. If I can think of a good way to do both at once, then I will. I may also just focus still on Mixcloud until I can find a way of recording video that is less of a hassle.

Who knows what the future holds? Because I sure don't, but there are always good things on the horizon if you work towards them. ;-)
