Sometime in April 2011... I am asleep after a night of mixing together new tracks. I begin to have this dream...
There is a titanic, colossal Sound, it's like a solid wall of bass that quakes the ground beneath my feet. The sound is monstrous, epic, and yet I recognize it, although I have never heard it in real life before. This vast soundwave is chasing after me like a wall of bassy destruction. Suddenly I start awake in my bed.
It's the next morning, and I can still hear the sound in my head, fading... When I realize what it is: SPL's "Valhalla" & Bar9's "Piano Tune" double-dropped overtop of each other. I JUMP out of bed and run to my turntables! I drop the tracks overtop each other... It sounds exactly like I heard it in my dream. And thus the intro to this mix was born
